When your day is slow, it’s hard not to mope about it. So make your day productive instead. I spent yesterday practicing some elegant styles. I was inspired by all the Oscar hair I saw. Besides, I have 2 straight weeks of photoshoots coming up. A girls gotta practice……

Ankar Sweden Mens Fall/Winter 2012 Collection
This year, I finally got my wish. Mens grooming at NYFW. I know this post is a tad late, but who cares right? Hair is hair. I had the great opportunity of working along side not only my “boss” but also mens grooming legend Vaughn Acord. We had to get 10 already fantastic looking guys, looking even more fantastic! Is it possible? You dare ask. Of course! Great hair completes a look, even in pajamas. If I could do men’s hair all day, every day, Id be in love. The look of grooming for this collection was to make the hair look “neatly worn”. Yeah, go ahead and interpret that. Anyway, here are a couple of my favorite images from the show. I had such a great time… It was on the rooftop of the ever so popular Empire Hotel, which, if you are a Gossip Girl fan, you know is owned by Chuck Bass. Great Clothes, great location, and most importantly, great hair…..

Lately, my soul has no strength. Actually, for quite some time my soul has had no strength. I feel like Ive had people telling me what kind of soul I should have. What I should be passionate about. Its become quite obvious, that somewhere along the way, I let it happen. Ive lost my ambition and my drive. Ive become a coward. And I just cant be this way anymore. I was in my hometown a couple of weeks ago. I met up with my old bosses. They said, “We remember when you came in for your interview, you sat down and told us exactly what you wanted, and exactly what your goals were. it was then that we knew you were going places.” Now, when I have meetings, I say what I think people want to hear. Im not honest with them, or myself. How pathetic. Who gets anywhere in life by doing that? I want to be the person I used to be. I want to be the go getter, the person who stood up for what I believed in, no matter the cost. I want to see the success I had, continue. I want to be the driver of my life….. I want to continue to be an inspiration for younger people. Im not doing that right now. I think its time……

Last fall, I worked as part of the team for Katie Gallagher. The cool thing about Katie is, at all her shows backstage, she has tables of candy. My personal favorite, was the giant bowl of candy corn. A girl after my own heart….. Katie is so cool, so humble. Shes creative and so talented, and such a sweetheart! For this look, the concept was to put the hait in a high, high pony. Then clear, hard plastic tubes were cut vertically through the center, and placed around the ponytail. Challenging, and much harder then it looks!!!!!
